Activating Electronic Collections on Task List
- Go to your Task List --> Electronic Resources
- If the Task is “Aggregator Package” or “Selective Package,” click the three dot button on the right of the task.
- Click “Activate”
- In the next screen:
- Uncheck “Mark bib as suppressed”
- "Activate this electronic collection service" box should be checked
- "Make service available" box should be checked
- “Automatically activate new portfolios” box should be checked (unless this a Selective Package, then check with whomever assigned you this task in Acquisitions to determine what this status should be)
- “Active from date” choose today
- Leave “Active until date” blank (unless instructed by Acquisitions)
- Hit the Next button (top right corner)
- Enable Proxy for the Service on the next page. Hit Next.
- "Activate all - Activation of the complete electronic collection with no selection of portfolios" radio button should be checked. Hit Next.
- On next page, hit the “Activate” button.
- This will return you to the Task List. Hit the three dot button again & select “Edit Resource”
- Click on the “Additional” tab & confirm the Level URL field has a URL in it that is going to the correct resource. Hit Save if it is.
- On the Task List again, hit the three dot button & “Test Access”
- This will bring up the list of Portfolios in this package. Hit the three dot button on one of them & “Test Access” NOTE: You might need to wait for Portfolios to appear. Give it 30 seconds if they don’t show up immediately.
- On the next page, there will be a link after "Full text available at: " Click the link. It should bring you to the full text access for this resource. If it does not, contact whomever assigned you this task in Acquisitions.
- Close the tab & return to Alma. Hit the Back button. And the Back button again on the next page (which should be the list of portfolios)
- On the Task List, it the three dot button & select “Done”
- The Task is now Done & will disappear from the Task List.
