Welcome Tetyana Yaroshenko | Meghan | Tetyana joined PUL on October 3rd as Visiting Open Scholarship Librarian. Tetyana has been with the National University of Kyiv-Mohyla Academy since 1995. She currently serves as Vice-President for Research and IT. Prior to that role she was the Director of the University Library at NaUKMA. Tetyana provided background on the Ukrainian conflict with Russia and its impact on people and libraries. Many university students are displaced. Her research at Princeton will be to look at driving forces for open science and its potential implementation in Ukraine. NaUKMA started a project of open science, open abstract, open citation, and more. Tetyana is currently working on a book about open science in the modern university in Ukraine. | |
Notes
- Meghan - Will share the report created by ORSC with Tetyana. Meghan's vision would be a website that follows the research lifecycle with overlays that you can toggle on and off depending on where someone is in the research process. Overlays would include different services and tools.
- Jen - Next steps for this group, putting together a service map.
- General conversation about support for compliance of funder mandates versus what can be helpful in terms of open science.
