Social Sciences Affinity Group
The Social Science Liaisons Affinity Group meets monthly (usually) to discuss topics of interest to the social sciences. Core membership includes library staff with liaison responsibilities for the social sciences or who work regularly with social science researchers. The discussions are open for all to join. Meetings may have a theme to structure discussions, and outside guests may be invited periodically to present on topics or services of interest to the group.
The goals for the group are:
Provide a forum for creative, interdisciplinary discussion
Reveal the current practices of liaison work with the social sciences
Identify areas of overlap and scope for increased collaboration and coordination
Propose outreach events and workshops that help bring social science researchers together across disciplinary boundaries
