Notes

  • Yuan - OGC, OA week panel events in October, tabling in libraries. Game night to be scheduled
  • Wind & Jen - Welcoming Jen: Meeting a lot of people, getting the lay of the land. How to support humanities in open scholarship. Jen will replace Wind in the group to co-chair with Meghan.
  • Sharing our interests in Open Research and Open Scholarship
  • Summer projects recap: 1. open research libguide (Media central channel. Keep it closed for now until the workflow is complete. Open Data +Code section is ready for release. Open Writing is ready too. OA Publishing and Licensing is ready to redirect to the existing libguides. Citizen Science section is ready to go. Meghan will edit "about". The libguide will be published by Oct.28th.) 2. Directory of open research resources and the Marketing Map (Meghan and Neggin are creating a video library by working with video vendors; if vendors route doesn't work out and we can pull existing youtube videos or creating our own.) Marketing map is trying to get the resources/tools to our researchers.
  • Plan for Fall: 1.  launch the open research libguide; 2. keep working on the directory. 3. Leave space for Jen for any projects from her new units.
