Adding issues to formerly incomplete volumes: a checklist
This is a quick checklist of reminders for adding more issues to incomplete serial units. For complete information on the serial adding procedure, see Serial adding.
- Remove/update LACKS note on MFHD.
- Delete (inc.) at end of primary/Enum in item record if new issues complete the unit.
- Remove "This Volume Lacks" slip from piece, or update if some issues are still missing.
- Note on binding slip whether to be rebound as temporary (if still incomplete) or permanent.
- If rebinding temp., save cardboard covers and send along with unit for reuse.
- If rebinding temp., charge to Collections Conservation instead of Binding Services, and put on designated shelf.
