Imprecise Alerts to Duplicate Titles

The Metadata Editor may display a warning about the number of duplicate bib records that describe the same manifestation as the current one you are editing. Alma applies a very inclusive matching scheme to determine duplication, based solely upon standard identifiers without taking title or other fields into consideration. Whereas the method speeds up the detection process, the tradeoff is that it may result in false counts of duplications. (In the above example, the large count may have to do with many bib records having the identical "035 $a Recon" string)
