BLISS serves as a regular forum for branch staff to exchange information and practices regarding PUL's branch libraries. The meetings serve as two-way information exchange between branch staff and supervisors. BLISS meetings are intended to be focused on issues with branch implications. BLISS should be a conduit for issues flowing both upwards and downwards, and the place where branch opinions, and possibly diverse situations and needs are gathered, before major decisions are taken. For 2024, BLISS meetings will include 30 minute tours or branch highlights preceding or after the 60 minute meeting, as time permits.

Meeting Schedule

Open meetings will take place once every two months on a reliable schedule with an agenda set for each meeting. Guest speakers may be appropriate for specific meetings. Meeting notes will be shared on Confluence within two weeks after each meeting. Note: Additionally, Branch managers and branch admins will meet with their respective groups separately, also under a two month schedule. If there are issues which need broader discussion, they will alert the hosting branch to be put on the agenda.
