When words such as “prepared by” or “issued by” precede the corporate body, consider including it in the statement of responsibility.

When the body appears without prefatory words use cataloger’s judgement, taking into consideration the location of the information in relation to the title proper. For example, if the resource has a title page and the name appears without prefatory words at head of title or below the title, then consider transcribing the name in a statement of responsibility.  (CCM: 6.5.3)

Likewise, use cataloger’s judgment when to include the body in the statement of responsibility when chosen as part of the authorized access point .

Corporate Body in Two Languages

When the corporate body appears on the piece or the preferred source in two languages, choose the language that conforms to the language of the title proper. The language not chosen may be recorded in the Issuing Body (550) note. (CCM: 6.5.3)
