User Customization
This page cover the following topics:
You may configure font size, toolbar/menu display, and dashboard to suit your tasks and preferences.
Navigational Icons
Alma allows users some limited customization of displays. The three-dot button at the topmost right corner allows users to customize the display of menu items in the top right toolbar:
These menu icons can be rearranged or hidden according to your preference:
Change Font Size
You can change font size by selecting UI Preferences in the user profile (person icon) in the top menu bar. The Display density feature allows you to choose between small, medium and large font size:
Customize Shortcuts
The Shortcuts Customization, accessible from the same menu, allows you to toggle keyboard shortcuts on and off.
Users cannot change the actual keystrokes of the shortcuts, just turn off keyboard shortcuts they don’t need:
Main Menu (Vertical Bar)
You can similarly customize the left-hand menu, re-ordering or hiding various icons, by clicking the Alma Production icon at the top of the menu:
For example, if you never have to access the Admin tab, you can hide its icon from the vertical menu bar.
Quick Links Menu
You can create Quick Links for Alma menu items so that you can access these features easily. Creating a Quick Link is like bookmarking a page or tool.
A Hot Key (such as Ctrl + Alt + 1) is automatically added to a quick link.
You can access the Quick Links Menu by clicking the Alma icon at the top of the left-hand toolbar, which has an image of a list and a star:
There are 2 methods of adding items to your Quick Links:
- Open the Quick Link menu and use the search bar to find a menu item. Hover your mouse over the item and you will see a grey star. Click on the grey star to make it blue.
- From the Main Menu, view any of the sub-menus. Hover your mouse over the item and you will see a grey star. Click on the grey star to make it blue.
You can pin your Quick Links so that they persist as a new horizontal menu under the persistent search bar. To do so, open the Quick Links menu and choose the Pin option.
Manage Widgets
On Alma’s home screen/dashboard, you can click the plus sign in the top-right corner to display or hide the various widgets that appear on this screen.
