Please contact the chairs of the Authorities Committee for the latest version of the macrobook.

Installing the PUL Authorities macros in OCLC

  1. Move the downloaded macrobook into the following folder on your PC: C:\Program Files (x86)\OCLC\Connexion\Program\Macros
  2. Open OCLC. Add your Voyager ID to OCLC by going to: Tools > Options and select the My Status tab. Check the box by the field "Authority Records" and enter your Voyager ID.

You can assign the macro a User Tool and/or a hotkey to make it easier to use it:

Assigning user tools

  1. Go to Tools > User tools > Assign. Select the Macro radio button.
  2. Scroll down the list until you see the macro you want. Make sure “Tool 1” is selected from the dropdown menu and click “Assign tool”.

3. Go to Tools > Toolbar editor.
4. Scroll down (about ¾ of the way through) until you see a blue “1” named ToolsUserTools 1. Click and drag the icon onto the toolbar.

5. To activate the macro, just click one of the button from the toolbar.

Assigning hotkeys

  1. In OCLC, go to Tools > Keymaps. Select the Macro radio button.
  2. Select the macro from the left-hand side list
  3. With your cursor in “Press new shortcut key”, hit the key(s) that you want to use to activate the macro. When done (make sure the command it appears in the line!), select Assign.
