Abbreviated title
Field 210 contains a title of the serial as abbreviated for purposes of indexing or identification. An abbreviated title is supplied by ISSN centers and will sometimes appear with the key title in the ISSN Portal.
The Key title is a unique title assigned in conjunction with the ISSN. CONSER practice is to record the Key title (MARC Field 222) when an ISSN number is associated with the resource. (CEG: 20X-240X) Catalogers will frequently acquire the key title through the ISSN Title Portal, but the key title may also appear in the preferred source of information. Catalogers are to transcribe the Key title precisely as it is presented in the ISSN portal or preferred source of information. The Key title may sometimes include a qualifier recorded in subfield b.
