Each week, Atlassian rolls out new features, updates, and changes to Confluence. This is a page where we can keep track of these release notes and highlight any changes that will affect our use of Confluence at PUL. The links below will go to the full set of releases; expand the Highlights section underneath to view highlights relevant to us at PUL.

Simplified space creation with two types of spaces - Collaboration and Knowledge Base
To create a space:
Select Create from the Confluence navigation bar at the top of the screen.
Select Space from the dropdown menu.
Choose the option that best fits the purpose of the space you're creating.
Confirm your choice, making changes to the defaults as needed.
Editor: Add media from web links
Image and video upload from web links: The new feature allows you to insert media by pasting a URL, making it faster for you to add online resources to your content.
Updated toolbar and quick actions: The toolbar and quick action commands now open a popup with two tabs, "file" and "link", for more flexible media insertion.
An easier way to locate your content within a space
Select the space name in the breadcrumbs of your content. A dropdown will appear, clearly displaying the full breadcrumbs path of your content's location in the content tree. You can also opt to move your content by selecting Move from the dropdown*.* This new and improved breadcrumbs experience will be available everywhere you can view and create content in Confluence.
Spaces now have owners - Can be one user or a user group
While a space can have many admins, it can only have one user or group set as the owner.
Space owners or anyone in a group assigned as space owner are granted all permissions on a space.
To assign a space owner, a space admin can:
Select Space settings from the left-side navigation panel.
Select General --> Space details to open the Space details tab.
In the Owner field, input a user's name or group's name.
An easier way to locate your content within a space
We've beautified and enhanced the breadcrumbs (the path showing content's location within a space) at the top of every piece of content, so now it's easier than ever to review where your content is within an entire content tree.
Select the space name in the breadcrumbs of your content. A dropdown will appear, clearly displaying the full breadcrumbs path of your content's location in the content tree.
