Hold Reports

To expedite the cataloging of items in the 693 Hold, we have been attempting to identify items with member copy using the following logic:

Alma record (with relevant language) has:

• Status = Hold (693)
• Base Status = Item not in place
• Barcode is not null

ISBN (or OCLC number if no ISBN) is used to search against the WorldCat Search API (version 1.0, NOTE: version 2.0 is available)

Returned WorldCat record must have:

• A numerical value in the 050 and/or 090 (unless the item is going to ReCAP)
• Either a subject (600, 610, 611, 65x other than 653) with 2^nd indicator “0” (or lcgft or aat) OR literary form(008/33) other than "0" or " "
• Values other than “s” or “o” in 008/23 (it’s not an e-resource)
