According to RDA 1.6.2.2, a new record is created when the media type or carrier type of a serial changes. In the case of original microforms, this happened most frequently when print copy was continued by microfiche. If no major title change accompanies the media type or carrier type change, this constitutes a change in manifestation only and not a change in work. Therefore, do not add an authorized access point to the new record or modify an existing authorized access point. (CCM:32.2.2b)
