There are multiple ways to open a record from Princeton's repository for editing. This page covers the second one.
- Conduct a search from the Persistent search bar, select and bring results into editors
- When you already have a bib record open in the editor, get its holdings/item record; or vice versa
- Browse by call number via Browse Shelf Listing and open records from the results list
- Browse by name, title, etc. via Browse Bibliographic Headings and open records from the results list. Due to a number of known issues with this feature, please apply this method at your discretion.

- View to open the selected holdings record in read-only view.
- Press to return to Inventory
- If multiple holdings exist, use the Up and Down triangle icons to navigate
If there are multiple holdings
The Alma data structure does not permit identical text strings in the 852 field of separate holdings of a title, thus the Inventory view displays distinct locations for each holdings record.
A small pocket of records having been migrated from Voyager may display identical location and call number in multiple holdings records, without even a copy number ($t) to differentiating them. If in the unlikely case where you encounter any of them, only barcode can help you match the item in hand with its holdings record. |
