Proposed Levels of Availability 

  • Level A - High availability expectation (Expected to be available during and outside of normal workday hours)
  • Level B - Medium availability expectation (Monday through Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM EST)
  • Level C - Low availability expectation (Low priority to restore in an outage)
  • Level A/D - Fluctuating; level changes based on time of year

Proposed Customer Groups

  • General public - general patrons anywhere
  • Princeton University (all) - anyone with an active Princeton University account (includes DCU and GAP accounts)
  • Limited within Princeton University - a subset of users with active Princeton University accounts
  • PUL staff - staff members of PUL

Proposed Criticality 

  • Level 0 - Core infrastructure
  • Level 1 - Highest criticality applications for services to be active
  • Level 2 - High availability services
  • Level 3 - Medium availability services 
  • Level 4 - Low availability services; lowest criticality for service to be restored in an outage
  • Level 1/4 - Fluctuating; level changes based on time of year
