CONSER Standard Record (CSR) is a serial bibliographic record containing all the core, core if, and other elements comprising the serial work, expression, or manifestation recorded in the MARC fields appropriate for describing those elements according to established CONSER and MARC descriptive and format protocols. Only bibliographic records meeting these conditions can be authenticated as a CSR. The topics in this section are covered consistent with or as they would be represented in the MARC bibiliographic record irrespective of the form (print, electronic) of the record. Topics unique to serials issued as Remote Access Electronic, Microform and Rare Materials are covered separately.
