Choosing a Side-Navigation Template 

When creating your LibGuide, you can either start from a blank slate or copy an existing LibGuide. In either case, you can set the layout of your Guide to be a two-column side-navigation, in accordance with our PUL LibGuides Standards and Best Practices.

To set your side navigation: 

  1. When editing your guide, click on the image/picture icon in the top-right toolbar and in the drop-down, choose Guide Navigation Layout.

    If you are in a tab navigation layout to begin with, the layout option will appear next to the Page settings in the gray bar right above the start of your content.

  2. On the screen that follows, choose System Default - Side-Nav Layout, as this will choose the correct two-column layout for our Guides. 



  3. You will also have options to choose how you would like your content displayed using the checkboxes displayed once the layout is selected.Â
