Cataloging
Bring the book to a cataloger. Cataloger decides who should do cataloging and processing.
Physical processing
For Firestone Library stacks:
Add security strip, book plate, top edge stamping. Do not make call number. Firestone has its own which is different from EAL.
Send to Marie Wange-Connelly (head of Circulation and Inventory Management Services)
For Recap:
Add book plate, top edge stamping, and call number (security strip will be added in Recap)
If not send to Recap right away, use “in process” in Voyager item record
Before put it on the Recap truck, remove “in process” status and discharge in the circulation system
Put in the Recap truck for sending to Recap
For books that need binding:
For books need to be bound (e.g. cannot stand on their own on the shelves), send them to: Shelf Direct Bindery Services, 693 Alexander.
If in doubt whether special binding is necessary, send to Shelf Direct Bindery Services, with note: “Binding decision”.
