- (Esmé) SVN: received a message from Alexis re: wanting to just keep using SVN — are we OK with that?
(are we allowed to say no? - Steph)I now understand that Git does not handle their large files, plus we have a better setup with SVN to support SC. We will continue to support SC with SVN.Consensus from Slack discussion was to stick with SVN. Can we start doing monthly snapshots from ASpace?- There is not an Operations concern any longer about keeping SVN going. They went back and made the environment better to manage and we feel that we can support it better now.
- Regine and Trey will need to discuss setting up a schedule for getting monthly snapshots from ASpace. Kevin will check.
- What needs to be archived is more data than is currently going to PULFAlight. Regine has knowledge of what is missing (URIs that are currency for her work).
- (Kevin) Voyager migration update
- Mark is about 80% done archiving holdings and vendor data.
- Where to put this data? It is a large payload but users will need to be able to access it semi-regularly. We are using the GEAC application (Rails and PostGres) to make this data searchable.
