Scenario: Use this workflow to activate electronic resources.

Required Alma roles: Electronic Inventory Operator

Workflow:

1. In Alma, go to "Manage Electronic Resource Activation" found under the "Resources" heading on the left side of the screen:

3. Locate the e-resource that needs to be activated using the following tabs and search box:

5. Once you have located the e-resource, click on the ellipses to the right of the title and click "Edit Resource":

7. You will now be in the Electronic Portfolio Editor (EPD)
8. For standalone portfolios only: Click on the "Linking" tab and enable the Proxy service (you do not need to select the Proxy from the drop-down menu):. Portfolios associated with a collection will inherit proxy settings from the collection level, so do not need information entered here.

10. Click "Save":

14. If access is working, no further steps are needed.
15. Confirm that the bibliographic record is high-quality and meets our standards:

       1. Be sure to run the "General EBOOK edits" (or "General e-serial edits") Normalization Rule in the MDE before saving & releasing the record.
