The Alma data structure does not permit identical text strings in the 852 field of separate holdings of a title, thus in the Inventory window each holdings record displays a distinct location.
| A small pocket of records having been migrated from Voyager may display identical location and call number in multiple holdings records, without even a copy number ($t) to differentiate them. If in the unlikely case where you encounter any of them, only barcode can help you match the item in hand with its holdings record. |
